At this stage, heat will be transferred from the refrigerant to the outdoor air, causing it to condense back to a liquid state as it cools. This warm liquid refrigerant is pumped through the system to the expansion valve to reduce its pressure, cooling it significantly. Once the refrigerant is in a cool, liquid state, the cycle will then begin again in a continuous effort to cool your home.
